Works good when there is a power outage and saving that cool temp counts. That inside airlock space will stay refigerated cool, and everyone that wants a meal wont have to enter the freezer and let the cold air out. This is because the lowest temperature in Rimworld is absolute zero (-273 C) but the max temperature is 2000 C.
The heater is much more simple, and much more space efficient. Put a 1 square high priortiry stockpile with your most common meal. The larger your desired freezer, the more 'absolute zero' doors you will need. e.g in a rec/dining room if a colonist eats but doesn't play they will only get the dining room moodlet Tip: make 1 extra square off to the side between the doors. Note: these moodlets only occur if the colonist has used each corresponding facility. However, if you combine them all, colonists get a seperate moodlet for each room purpose.įor example, a room containing a horseshoe pin and a table and chair will give a moodlet for a rec room AND a moodlet for a dining room. The 5 "living" rooms (throne, rec, dining, barracks, bedroom) all give your colonists moodlets depending on their impressiveness.
